Department of Army (DA) Photos 

Active-duty Soldiers assigned or TDY to the Joint Base San Antonio area requiring a DA photo must use this option to schedule an appointment.

Customers should be ready to be photographed at their scheduled appointment time. Customers arriving five minutes later for their appointment will be turned away.

Photo Policy

Photos are by appointment only; NO walk-ins. 

All photos are for official use only. No personal photos. 

Service members in the rank of E-9/O-6 and above please send an e-mail to usaf.jbsa.502-abw.mbx.photo-lab@mail.mil or to fortsamhoustonphoto@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

No squadron level award photos. Group level and above only.

Customers are responsible for bringing service, organizational, or staff flags/colors required on their official photo.

Only schedule one appointment for each requirement you need to fulfill. If you need a photo in both of your uniforms, then you must make two separate appointments.

Strict adherence to standards of dress and appearance is essential. It's the customer's responsibility to ensure uniforms and clothing are properly fitted and correctly prepared. Be sure awards and decorations are current and correct. Full length mirrors are provided. 

Customers should be ready to be photographed at their scheduled appointment time. Customers arriving more than five minutes late for their appointment will be turned away. Due to COVID changing rooms and bathrooms are not available. You must come in ready to go for your appointment. We will not allow you to change in the studio.

If you are aware that you will not be able to attend your appointment, please cancel it at least two hours prior to your scheduled time. Appointments canceled after this time will be considered no-shows.
